Helen Needham is the founder of Me.Decoded, a management consultant in financial services, and is part of a neurodiverse family. Helen and her son are autistic, and her mum is bipolar. Helen has experienced first hand the challenges that being neurodivergent can have, and has seen what is possible with the right understanding, environment and support. Recently Helen launched a Neurodiversity employee network, to bring about a change in her company. Through Me.Decoded, Helen hopes to bring about a greater change by sharing stories of Neurodivergent thinkers and promoting the value of Neurodivergent thinking.
Great things are possible when neurodivergent thinkers are viewed as different instead of difficult, and embracing this perspective can lead to changes where everyone is able to benefit from the power of neurodivergent thinking.

“Brené Brown’s talk “The power of vulnerability ” gave me the courage to step into becoming a neurodiversity champion, in the hope that I could help bring about a much-needed change to the way the neurodivergent are perceived and supported to succeed.”
What does thriving mean to you?
“To be valued for who I am, and to be able to live a life where I can be true to myself instead of feeling the need to change who I am in order to fit in.”
